X-Trail

Where communication, trust, and healthy riding come together. The X-Trail demonstrates how horses and humans learn to think as one. Spanning 400 square meters in Exhibition Hall 3, the X-Trail recreates natural obstacles, creating a unique trade show experience for horses, riders, and spectators. Health and prevention will be the core themes of the third edition of the X-Trail at PARTNER PFERD 2027.

X-Trail – In a Nutshell:

The X-Trail focuses on precise riding and exact groundwork in natural terrain or on a course featuring obstacles modeled after nature. Trust and communication between horse and rider are at the very heart of the event.
Renowned trainers guide the horses through the course and demonstrate in live exercises how to strengthen mutual communication. Visitors can experience the trail up close for themselves during guided walks.
The name X-Trail is derived from the corresponding discipline—Extreme Trails.

X-Trail – Thinking Ahead:

With a clear vision for 2027, we are further developing the X-Trail as one of the most popular exhibition areas—the X-Trail will be expanded into a modern space for knowledge, experiences, and connections.
The Trail, of course, remains a central component of the concept and forms the practical foundation of the special exhibition. At the same time, we’re placing greater emphasis on current topics in the equestrian world, such as maintaining health, prevention, rehabilitation, promoting exercise, and horse-centered training. This training method is characterized by the fact that it works regardless of riding style, horse breed, or level of training.

Our goal:

“The focus isn’t on the obstacle—but on the healthy, trusting partnership between human and horse.”

The X-Trail is being realized in cooperation with the association

Pferde(er)leben-natürlich aktiv from the Ore Mountains

Their motto: “For us it's not about ‘faster, higher, better’ - but about solid and constructive training. People and horses should enjoy training together in a realistic way and be able to master difficult situations together in the future.”

Which benefits does the extreme trail provide in the everyday live with horses?

  • Promotion of balance, sure-footedness, precision, rideability, coordination, gymnastics
  • Building trust
  • Ideal training for confidence and serenity
  • Trains attention
  • Improves sensitivity of horse and rider
  • Balancing out the daily competition routine for sport horses

Among others, we are looking forward to welcome:

Popular trainers

Personalities such as Nora Wehner, Silke Löbel, and Nancy Hübner showcase their work and the X-Trail's versatile capabilities on the natural obstacles.

A special diversity of horses

No matter if Icelandic, Fjord Horse, Shire Horse or Shetland Pony, in our X-Trail they all can show what they are made of. If it is a western, show jumping or leisure horse, they are all having fun here!
